Nordic skiing: Wasniewski, Robertson named team MVPs

Gina Wasniewski and Nole Robertson were named the Most Valuable Skiers for the Brainerd Warriors Nordic ski team at their end of season banquet.

Callie Knapp and Ryan Cady were presented with the Warrior Awards. Earning Most improved honors were Ellie Brown and Ethan Klisch.

Rookie of the Year honors went to Katelyn Kennedy and Karlton Anderson.

Jenna Lee earned the Losos Award.

Lee and Nick Schneider were presented the Heart of a Warrior award and Emelia Heinrichs and Sara Alcock landed the Above and Beyond Award.

Next year’s Warriors captains will be Emma Storbakkena and Liliana Schaeffer for the girls and Ryan Cady and Nole Robertson for the boys.
