ST. PAUL - Minnesotans may have struggled to find a state park that fits their needs, but now the Department of Natural Resources has an online tool for that.
Want to visit a park with your horse, attend a nature program and rent a canoe? Visit www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/getoutdoorsday.html and you will find five parks that fit your needs.
Website users may pick from dozens of options to narrow their park choices.
“With 75 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas to choose from, we know some people don’t quite know where to start,” said Erika Rivers, director of the Parks and Trails Division. “This new tool will make trip planning quicker and easier than ever."
