"I'm proud of Travis," S-M principal Mike Schmidt said in a news release. "Pursuits such as this are selfless and for the benefit of many. He represents our programs and his colleagues with dignity and leadership.

"Recently, he coordinated the first Mid-State Conference Student-Athlete Leadership Summit at National Joint Powers Alliance where over 100 students, coaches and ADs spent the day discussing leadership and character. It was the beginning of something very unique and worthy of our students and area leaders."
