Boys Lacrosse: Early lead doesn't last for Warriors
GRAND RAPIDS—Jayce Schroeder and Gabe Smith netted first quarter goals that put Brainerd up 2-0, but the rest of the night's scoring was by the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks who defeated the Warriors 14-2 Tuesday, May 14.
The Warriors have three regular season games remaining, but it was the final game for Schroeder. He leaves Sunday for basic training with the U. S. Marine Corps.
"He will be missed," said Brainerd head coach Adam Extrand. "His leadership, his sportsmanship—he's just a classy kid and he's one of our leading scorers."
The Brainerd junior varsity lost 6-2.
