Yeager, Johnson win final Northern's Inc. tournament

The team of Tim Yeager and Cody Johnson won the year's final Northern's Inc. of Brainerd tournament held Oct. 4 on Roosevelt Lake.

Yeager and Johnson caught a total of 31 pounds. Taking second with 27.3 pounds were Jeff Thorson and Joe Goble. Third was Rob Barnum and Craig Klimek with 25.6 pounds; fourth was Kevin and Lucas Hacker with 21.9 pounds; and fifth was Andrew and Lisa Utter with 21.4 pounds.

The lunker for the tournament was a 14.9 pound northern caught by Cody Johnson.

Rifle sight-in available

Lakeshore Conservation Club is offering hunters the opportunity to sight their rifles in ahead of Minnesota's rifle deer hunting season.

Rifle sight-in will be held from 9 a.m.-noon on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26. Cost is $5 for non-members, with the club providing the target. Members can purchase a target for $1.

The Lakeshore Conservation Club is located on County Road 77 across the road from Mount Ski Gull.
