Racers climb over mounds of dirt and wade through mud Saturday, July 14, during the Paul Bunyan Extreme Race at Mount Ski Gull. The race is a 2.9 mile course featuring many obstacles such as rope swings, water slides, an axe throwing station and lots of mud. Growing up in the Brainerd lakes area I realized that I never wanted to leave, so it is a true blessing that I was able to find a job at the Dispatch doing something I love.
