Pierz Pioneers senior running back and defensive back Reese Kapsner was selected to play in the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Viking Showcase All-Star Game Dec. 15 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Kapsner helped the defending Class 3A champion Pioneers back to the state tournament with a 10-0 record. Pierz will open state tournament play 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, against Annandale at St. Cloud State University.
Kapsner leads the top-ranked Pioneers with 1,474 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns. He also has six interceptions with two returned for touchdowns.
