LITTLE FALLS — George Moore finished 3-4 with a double, run and two RBIs and also pitched the Little Falls flyers to a 7-1 non-conference victory over Sauk Rapids Friday, May 27.

Moore struck out three and scattered four hits over seven innings.

Carter Oothoudt went 3-4. Zach Gwost was 1-2 with two runs and Matt Filippi was 1-3 with a home run. Owen Bode doubled and drove in two runs for the Flyers.

PIERZ — Ben Virnig drove in three runs and pitched the final two innings to save a 7-6 Granite Ridge Conference victory for the Pierz Pioneers over the Mora Mustangs Thursday, May 26.

Reese Young was the winning pitcher. He allowed four runs, three earned, on 1 hit and six walks. He struck out eight over five innings of work. He helped his own cause by going 1-3 with two runs scored.

Jeremy Bingesser went 1-2 with an RBI and a run and Kirby Fischer was 2-3 with a double, run and an RBI.
