EVELETH — Addison Lorber drained seven 3-pointers and finished with 31 points to lead No. 17 Staples-Motley to a 68-54 upset of No. 16 Eveleth-Gilbert in the Section 7-2A play-in game Tuesday, March 1.

Lauren Rutten tallied 19 points and Aften Robinson scored eight for the Cardinals who will advance to face No. 1 seeded Pequot Lakes 6 p.m. Thursday, March 3.
