CROSBY — Sam Rysavy tallied 22 points and Eli Laposky scored 18 as the Pequot Lakes Patriots handed the Crosby-Ironton Rangers their first loss of the season with a 69-60 Mid-State Conference victory Friday, Jan. 21.

Jordan Oehrlein tallied 28 points followed by Carson Turk’s 19 and Will Meyer’s 12 as C-I fell to 13-1 and Pequot improved to 9-3.

BAXTER — Josiah McGaffey recorded 19 points, including a game-opening 3-pointer that helped the starting center reach 1,000 career points as he led the Lake Region Christian Hornets to a 73-55 Minnesota Association of Chrsitian Schools victory over Rosemount Friday, Jan. 21.

It was the first 3-point attempt of McGaffey’s career. He added 13 rebounds to his stat line.

Trey Ogren scored 17 points for the Hornets while Damian Craig finished with 14.

Logan Backstrom tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds and Phil Imdieke pulled down 10 rebounds for Lake Region.

LITTLE FALLS — Austin Neu was 9-of-11 shooting and finished 22 points and seven rebounds and four assists to lead the Little Falls Flyers to a 77-55 Granite Ridge Conference victory over the Foley Falcons Friday, Jan. 21.

Zach Gwost added 14 points and Jaxon Janski and Ethan Poster both contributed 10 points for the Flyers.
