Area Boys Hockey: Flyers remain perfect with shutout win

PRINCETON — Isaiah Jendro netted two goals and an assist as Class 1A’s third-ranked Little Falls stayed unbeaten with a 5-0 win over Princeton Thursday, Jan. 13.

Joey Welinski, Carter Oothoudt and Matt Filippi also tallied goals for the Flyers.

Cooper recorded three assists and Oothoudt finished with two.

Richie Varriano stopped all nine shots he faced.

Greenway 5, Northern Lakes 2

GREENWAY — Northern Lakes received third period goals from Quady Bernu and Tyler Seeling but fell short in a 5-2 loss to Greenway Thursday, Jan 13.

Jamison St. Clair and Christian Crutcher assisted Bernu on his goal and Zach Ehnstrom and Cruther were credited with assists on the Seeling goal.

The Lightning put 28 shots on the Greenway net and Nigel Desanto tallied 28 saves.
