Area Cross-Country: Pillager girls race to 1st

Four area teams were in action Thursday, Sept. 22.

PILLAGER — Lindy Cordes and Emma Reeder finished in third and fourth place individually to lead the Pillager Huskies to first place in the Pillager Invite Thursday, Sept. 22, at Madden’s Resort.

Cordes ran a 22:50.2 followed by Reeder in 23:04.2.

Mia Arroyo of Verndale captured fifth

Pillager’s Braden Hoffer led the area boys with an eighth-place finish in 20:28.2. Verndale’s Michael Uselman placed ninth

Flyer girls 4th

COLD SPRING – Malin Youngberg placed sixth for the Little Falls Flyers girls with a time of 19:48.0 to help the Flyers fourth at the Rocori invitational Thursday, Sept. 22.

Grace LeClair ran a ninth-place 20:00.4 for the Flyers.

Wyatt Baum paced the Little Falls boys with a 10th-place 17:19.4 as the Flyers finished 11th as a team.
