Area Girls Basketball: Patriots and Pioneers to meet in section finals

Pierz and Pequot Lakes in action for Section 7-2A playoffs Wednesday, March 9.

Pequot Lakes 57, Proctor 45

HERMANTOWN — Isabel Larson scored 17 points to lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots over the Proctor Rails 57-45 in the Section 7-2A Semifinals Wednesday, March 9.

Kesli Martini scored 11 points for the Patriots in the win. Pequot advances to the Section 7-2A Finals scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

HERMANTOWN — Kiara Olesch scored a game-high 21 points for the Pierz Pioneers as they advanced to the Section 7-2A Finals with a 48-42 win over Esko in the section semifinals Wednesday, March 9.

Alyssa Sadlovsky tallied 10 points for the Pioneers in the win. Pierz will play Pequot Lakes in the section finals which will be played Friday at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
