Area Girls Golf: Pequot Lake wins at Blackberry Ridge

ST. CLOUD — Genevieve Birkeland and Morgan Krieger of Pequot Lakes each shot 83 to lead Pequot Lakes to a first place finish at the Pre-Section 6-2A Invite Monday, May 2, at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club.

Mallory Uselman and Bo Erholtz tallied an 86 and 89 to finish in the top 10 and lead Staples-Motley to a third-place finish. Pierz’s Emily Virnig finished with a 97 which was good for ninth place and the Pioneers were fifth.

Wadena-Deer Creek was led by Emma Weniger with a 110.

Ruby Seidl and Annie Neva of Pequot Lakes also finished in the top 10 with scores of 94 and 97.

Little Falls competes against Zimmerman

LITTLE FALLS — Abby Turkowski shot a top score of 37 for the Little Falls Flyers as they dropped their match against Zimmerman at the Little Falls Country Club Monday, May 2.

Olivia Dempsey finished with a 52 for the Flyers which was good for fifth place.
