Area Girls Golf: Virnig, Pierz bring home wins

PIERZ — Emily Virnig fired a 4-over 40 to pace the Pierz Pioneers to first place in a Granite Ridge Conference meet Thursday, April 28, at Pierz Golf Course.

Tiffany Virnig was third with a 49 followed by Kari LeBlanc’s fifth-place 52 and Kaylee Gruber’s eighth-place 57.

Team scores: 1-Pierz 198, 2-Zimmerman 200, 3-Mora 234

Individual medalist: Emily Virnig (Pierz) 40
