Area Girls Golf: Virnig, Pierz win on home course

Pierz hosted a quadrangular at the Pierz Golf Course.

PIERZ — Tiffany Virnig fired a nine-hole 44 to win the individual title and lead the Pierz Pioneers to first in the Great River Conference Quad Tuesday, April 19, at the Pierz Golf Course.

Emily Virnig placed second with a 45 and Kari LeBlanc and Joleen Weyer tied for sixth with 53s.

Team scores: 1-Pierz 195, 2-Albany 203, 3-Milaca 240

Individual medalist: Tiffany Virnig (Prz) 44
