Area Girls Golf: Virnig’s 88 leads Pierz to 4th

SARTELL — Emily Virnig fired a two-day 181 to finish third in the Granite Ridge Conference Championship at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club.

The Pierz senior shot an 88 Wednesday, May 18 to lead the Pioneers to fourth place as a team. Virnig’s third-place finish earned her all-conference honors.

Freshman Kari LeBlanc was all-conference honorable mention as she placed 13th overall. She shot a 104 Wednesday.

Olivia Dempsey shot a two-day 215 to place 20th and led the Little Falls Flyers.

Pillager places 2nd

ElLBOW LAKE — Kimberly Keefe fired a fourth-place 92 to lead the Pillager Huskies to a second-place 358 during a Quad Country Conference meet Wednesday, May 18, at Tipsinah Mounds.


Rya Glas fired a 129 and Haley Hall shot 137 for Pillager.
