WILLMAR — Rose Aldridge scored both goals, including the game-winner in the third period, for the Northern Lakes Lightning as they defeated the Willmar Cardinals 2-1 in a Section 6-1A matchup Thursday, Jan. 27.

Ava Merta assisted on Aldridge’s first goal at the 55-second mark of the first period.

Kate Stephens stopped 26 of the 27 shots she faced as the Lightning were able to get the win despite being outshot by the Cardinals 27-11.
