Area Girls Soccer: Swantek hat trick leads Flyers

Little Falls hosted Melrose Thursday, Sept. 8.

LITTLE FALLS — Kendal Swantek scored a hat trick and Reese Becker collected her first career goal as Little Falls broke a two-game losing streak with a 6-1 Granite Ridge Conference win over Melrose Thursday, Sept. 8.

Grace Cooper scored the first Little Falls goal on an assist from Swantek and Swantek scored the next two goals on assists from Ellyse Freudenrich and Kyara Caauwe.

Melrose opened the scoring in the second half but Olivia Dempsey answered with a goal on a free kick. The goal from Becker and the third from Swantek closed out the scoring.

Ana Steadman tallied six saves in net for Little Falls.
