Area Legion Baseball: Late rally stuns Pierz

Pierz traveled to Upsala for a legion game.

UPSALA — Kaden Kruschek went 3-4 with a two-run home run and a double for the Pierz Legion who fell to Upsala/Swanville 5-4 thanks to a walk-off seven-inning run Thursday, June 30.

Reese Young started and didn’t figure into the decision. He allowed four runs, three earned in 5.1 innings pitched. He struck out seven.

Kirby Fischer, who was 3-4 at the plate, was tagged with the loss in relief. He allowed two hits in 2.2 innings.

Weston Woitall and Chase Becker posted Pierz’s other hits.
