Area Softball: Gobblers put 20 on Rangers

Aitkin, C-I and PRB were in early action Tuesday.

AITKIN — Ella Janzen went 4-for-4 with four runs and an RBI as the Aitkin Gobblers outlasted the Crosby-Ironton Rangers 20-13 in a Mid-State Conference game Tuesday, May 3.

Camille Parenteau went 4-5 with three RBIs for the Gobblers while Hannah Jones went 2-3 with four RBIs while also picking up the win as she struck out four over four innings pitched.

Sophie Snyder homered for Aitkin and Abby Palm doubled and scored three runs.

C-I’s Mya Decent went 3-5 with a double, home run, and six RBIs.

Josie Schaefer also posted a 3-5 day while hitting a homer and driving in three runs


And Katelyn Landree went 3-3 for the Rangers.

PINE RIVER — Pine River-Backus’ Ramsey Tulenchik went 2-3 with a triple, a run and an RBI as the Tigers fell 22-6 to Kelliher/Northome Tuesday, May 3.

Caylei Johnson went 2-3 with one run, two RBIs and a double in the Northland Conference game.
