PILLAGER — Jenna Woidyla, Brooklyn Rudrud and Tessa Danielson each tallied three hits to lead a 16-hit parade for Pillager in a 13-0 win over Staples-Motley Friday, May 13.

Rudrud and Danielson, along with Sam Berent and Hanna Christle, doubled for the Huskies.

The Cardinals’ Jade Storry finished with two hits.

Briana Blais took the circle to start the game for Pillager and she struck out eight in five innings while giving up just five hits.

Isabel Birkholtz took the loss for the Cardinals.

BHV 16, Swanville 2

UPSALA — Keira Bertram and Carissa Wincher each drove in three runs for the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Pirates in a 16-2 blowout of Swanville Friday, May 13.

Wincher finished 3-4 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored. Bertram went 2-3 with three RBIs and two runs.

Madison Schmitz doubled and went 3-4 with two RBIs and two runs. Reagan Ludovissie, and Becca Stanley both had two hits for BHV.

Haily Hudalla struck out seven over five innings. She allowed two runs on four hits and two walks.

UPSALA — Madison Schmitz went for the cycle Friday, May 13.

Schmitz finished 4-4 with a double, triple, home run, two runs and four RBIs to power the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Pirates to a 10-3 victory over Upsala.

Carissa Wincher also homered and went 2-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Reagan Ludovissie was 3-4 with an RBI and Skylar Bertram finished 2-4 with two runs and an RBI.

Hailey Hudalla pitched the win. She allowed three runs, two earned, on five hits and two walks. She struck out three.
