WAITE PARK — Kaitlyn Geschwill struck out 11 and did not give up an earned run as she pitched the Pequot Lakes Patriots to a 3-1 victory over the Pierz Pioneers in the Section 6-2A Loser’s Bracket Wednesday, June 1
Taylor Sherack finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI double for the Patriots.
Geschwill added an RBI double as Pequot advances to the section championship and will need to beat St. Cloud Cathedral twice to advance to state.
Frankie Seleen was given the loss for the Pioneers as they finished their season with a 20-5 record.

WAITE PARK — Morgan Eckes finished 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs as the Pequot Lakes Patriots lost 4-3 to the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders in the Section 6-2A Winner’s Bracket final Wednesday, June 1.
Eckes was tagged with the loss as she gave up three earned runs and struck out six.
Maya Orvis went 2-3 for the Patriots.
