Area Softball: Rangers walk away with win against McGregor

CROSBY — Josie Schaefer finished 2-4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored for the Crosby-Ironton Rangers in a 16-6 victory over McGregor Friday, May 13.

Mya Decent walked three times, drove in two runs and scored twice. Brooke Johnson walked twice and was 1-1 with two runs and two RBIs. Shy Andrews scored three times as she walked twice and as 1-2 at the plate. The Rangers walked 17 times.

ROYALTON — Kaitlyn Geschweill continues to be in the zone and hit the zone as she struck out 16, walked one and allowed just two hits in a 4-0 Pequot Lakes victory over Royalton Friday, May 13.

Morgan Eckes went 2-4 with a two-run home run and Quinn Trottier was 2-3 with an RBI as Pequot improved to 13-0.

Aaliyah Lewis struck out 12 over seven innings of work for the Tigers.

Haylee Dickey finished 3-4 with a double and Jada Dykhoff was 2-4 with a double and two RBIs. Jamie Barthel was 1-2 with three runs scored.
