Area Track and Field: Huskies girls take top spot

PILLAGER — Pillager’s Jessa Kimman won the 100- and 300-meter hurdles to lead the Huskies girls to first Friday, May 13.

Violette Metz won the long jump and placed second in the 100 and 300 hurdles. Lindy Cordes was first in the 1600 run and Talia Craft captured the pole vault. The 4x100 and 4x800 relay teams were also winners

Sonja Palmer of Pequot Lakes was first in the high jump for the fourth-place Patriots.

Tim Moyer led the Huskies to a second-place team finish as he won the 300 hurdles and finished second in the 110 hurdles. Micah Moyer was first in the pole vault. Pillager also swept the relays.

Pequot Lakes placed third with Kad Mudgett coming away with first in the 100 and 200 dashes. Riley Peters also got the top spot in the shot put.
