MENAHGA — Katie Blaha tallied 17 kills and 17 digs as the No. 2 Verndale Pirates upset No. 1 Nevis 3-2 in the Section 5-1A quarterfinals Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Reagan Ludovissie chipped in 10 kills, 10 digs and 18 set assists while Kendra Captain had 14 digs.

Mallory Uselman recorded 13 digs and 16 set assists with Taylor Johnson having 18 digs.

Abi Martin registered 44 set assists and eight digs in the win. Grace Hofford had 11 kills with Maci Martini spiking 10.
