PINE CITY — John Pelarski pinned his 113-pound opponent in 18 seconds as the top-seeded Aitkin Gobblers defeated the No.4 seed Milaca Wolves 49-12 in the Section 7-2A Quarterfinals Thursday, Feb. 17.
Nathan Trotter, James Erickson, Marshall Larson and Kenny Erickson all picked up wins via pin for the Gobblers in the victory.
Aitkin advances to face Rock Ridge in the Section 7-2A semifinals Friday, Feb. 25.

Pierz falls to Mora
PINE CITY — The No. 3 Pierz Pioneers defeated No. 6 Rush City/Brahm 70-3 in the Section 7-2A team opening round before falling 46-24 to the No. 2 Mora Mustangs in the 7-2A quarterfinals Thursday, Feb. 17.

In the opening-round 70-3 victory over No. 6 Rush City/Braham, Caleb Koch recorded a 29-second pin. Liam Hennessy, Trevor Radunz and Wyatt Dingmann all posted 58-second pins for Pierz.
Koch recorded another pin for the Pioneers against Mora. Carter Young and Daniel Hoffman each recorded pins as Pierz ended its team season with a 21-6 record.
