PELICAN RAPIDS — With a score of 301 points and four rank points, Crosby-Ironton collected a first-place finish in jazz Monday, Jan. 17 at the Pelican Rapids Invite.
C-I clipped Minnewaka by one point and one rank point to secure the win. Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton placed third to round out the top three. Wadena-Deer Creek finished sixth with 18 rank points.
C-I finished second in kick behind Bagley, which won the event with 312 points and five rank points. C-I posted 309 points and six rank points.
“We had two of our best performances today in both kick and jazz,” Crosby-Ironton head coach Rachel Norwood said. “This team has been working so hard to remain competitive in our tough section and scores were super close today. We are excited to get back to work tomorrow to prepare for our Mid-State Conference Championship meet on Saturday in Aitkin.”
W-DC finished sixth in kick with 16 rank points.
