Brainerd resident to compete in North American Indigenous Games

BRAINERD — Bethany Black Lance a seventh grader at Forestview Middle School in Baxter was invited to be a part of Team Mni-sota 2023 North American Indigenous Games 14U girls’ basketball team.

The 10th North American Indigenous Games will host competitions in 16 sports from July 15-23 and use 21 venues across Kjipuktuk, Dartmouth and Millbrook First Nation in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Black Lance will be joined by girls from Lower Sioux, lake Traverse, Leech Lake, Red Lake and White Earth.
