ROGERS — Olivia Tautges’ 16 points led the No. 3 Brainerd Warriors in a 62-50 loss to the No. 2-seeded Rogers Royals in the Section 8-4A Semifinals Saturday, March 5.
The Royals defeated the Warriors 64-59 Dec. 3, but Brainerd entered the game on a five-game winning streak
Rogers took a 29-21 lead at the half and the Warriors were unable to close the gap in the second half.
Myah Nelson and Meghan Smith each finished with nine points and the Warriors ended the season 21-6.
“I am so proud of this team,” Brainerd head coach Troy Nelson said. “We had a great season, competed and played for each other all season long. (Saturday) was no different. We battled in a hard-fought game. We just came up a little short.
