Girls Golf: Warriors with Day 1 lead at sections

COLD SPRING — Katie Foley carded three birdies in her round of 78 to help the Brainerd Warriors finish Day One leaders at the Section 8-3A meet Tuesday, May 31, at Rich Spring Golf Club in Cold Springs.

The Warriors scored a 331 which put them seven strokes ahead of Alexandria and Detroit Lakes.

Izzy Olson was the second best Warrior with an 81. Sophia Karsnia shot an 85 and Madelyn Holmstrom an 87 for Brainerd.

Day Two of the section meet is scheduled for Wednesday.
