THIEF RIVER FALLS — Grant Loge threw for 306 yards and four scores, but missed conversions came back to haunt Pequot Lakes in a 43-42 overtime loss to Thief River Falls Friday, Oct. 14.
The Patriots led the Prowlers 28-6 early in the third quarter, but Thief River Falls scored the next two touchdowns to get back in the game and used a rushing attack for 365 yards to end Pequot Lakes four-game winning streak.
Loge connected with Riley Larson on a 61-yard pass to open the scoring in the first half. A pass to Bryer Nordby for 14 yards and a Nordby one-yard plunge gave Pequot Lakes a 22-6 halftime lead.
The Patriots increased it to 28-6 on a 64-yard strike from Loge to Cullen Kratochvil early in the third quarter.
After two scores from Thief River Falls, a 3-yard run from John Elsenpeter gave the Patriots a 36-21 lead.

The Prowlers clawed back again and tied the game late in the fourth quarter.
In overtime, the Patriots got on the board on a pass from Loge to Kratochvil from 2 yards.
After Pequot missed the two-point conversion, the Prowlers came back with a 10-yard and the successful kick to win.
Kratochvil led the Pequot Lakes receivers with five catches for 91 yards and was followed by Riley Larson with three catches for 90 yards.
