High School Football: Turnovers help Gobblers advance over Rock Ridge

Aitkin hosts Rock Ridge in the Section 7-3A Quarterfinals Tuesday, Oct. 25.

AITKIN — Tanner Nissen rushed for 70 yards and recorded two of Aitkins’ five interceptions as the No. 3 Aitkin Gobblers defeated the No. 6 Rock Ridge Wolverines 14-0 in the Section 7-3A Quarterfinals Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Jacob Williams tallied 153 rushing yards and a touchdown while Alex Palm caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from Bradyn Smith in the first quarter for the Gobblers.

Aitkin improves to 6-3 on the season and will next face Pequot Lakes in the Section 7-3A semifinals Saturday, Oct. 29.
