BRAINERD — Henry Hopkins and Cayden Kleffman carried hot bats for the Brainerd Legion team in during an 8-4 Game Two victory over Wayzata Wednesday, June 29.
Hopkins went 1-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored Kleffman finished 3-4 with a run scored.
Eli Owen doubled and finished 2-4 with an RBI and a run and Carter Springer was 1-2 2ith two runs.

Sawyer Hennesy pitched 5.1 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on five hits and three walks.
Riley DeRoiser drove in a run in the Brainerd Legion’s three-run first inning, but Wayzata rallied with two runs in the third, fifth and seventh innings to secure the 6-3 Game One victory.

Kleffman doubled and scored. Alex Helmin and Jack Schafer also scored for Brainerd. Eric Eidenshink and Nash Slettom secured Brainerd’s other two hits.
Brody Lund pitched the first three innings. He allowed two runs on three hits and four walks. Owen suffered the loss. He allowed two hits and a walk which turned into two runs.
