Soccer: Brainerd Blast to host soccer camp

A soccer camp is scheduled for the lakes area.

BRAINERD — The Brainerd Blast in conjunction with the Concordia College men’s and women’s soccer programs will host a soccer training camp for middle and high school players June 7-9 at the Southdale Soccer Fields in Baxter.

The camp will be led by Cobber head men’s coach Andy Kohl and Cobber women’s assistant George Gauld. They will be joined by Cobber players and staff to bring college-level training and methods to the camp.

Technical skill instruction will be taught through drills, activities and gameplay.

The camp will be split into two age groups. Campers born in 2009-2014 will go from 8:30-11:30 a.m., while athletes born in 2008 and older will go from 12:30-3:30 p.m..
