Softball: Warriors get 3 wins at Forest Lake Tournament

FOREST LAKE — Olivia Tautges went 4-7 with a home run and eight RBIs over three games for the Brainerd Warriors as they beat Elk River 10-3, St. Francis 14-4 and defeated Owatonna 5-2 Saturday, April 23, at the Forest Lake Tournament.

In Game One against Elk River, Meghan Smith and Elsa Borchert each blasted home runs and finished with two RBIs.

Olivia Tautges went 2-2 with two runs and pitched five innings and compiled 12 strikeouts.

Emma Tautges and Josie Kappes each had two-hit games against Elk River as well.

Mya Tautges started against St. Francis in Game Two and pitched five innings with five strikeouts to get the win. She also went 2-4 at the plate with two doubles and three RBIs.


Emma Tautges went 3-4 with a double and two RBIs and Olivia Tautges went 2-4 with a home run and four RBIs for the Warriors in the win over St. Francis.

Kasia Kroll scored three runs and had two hits and Elsa Borchert had two hits, both doubles and two RBIs against St. Francis.

In Game Three against Owatonna, Olivia Tautges had two RBIs on two sacrifice flies. She also earned the win in the pitching circle as she pitched three innings of relief of Emma Tautges and struck out six.

Emma Tautges started and pitched four innings and struck out three.

Kroll was the only Warrior to tally multiple hits against Owatonna. Borchert scored twice in the win.
