Skaters took to the ice during beautiful weather Thursday afternoon, Jan. 3, at the Nisswa ice rink in the city park.

Kids and teens passed pucks around the rink to practice their hockey skills, parents taught their young ones to skate independently and some skaters glided on figure skates across the ice for exercise and relaxing recreation.

After several bitterly cold days, patrons of the ice rink welcomed sunshine and temperatures in the upper 30s. Many commented that it was the perfect day to be outside.
