Section 8-3A Wrestling: 7 Warriors and 7 Flyers advance

Brainerd, Little Falls competed in the Section 8-3A individual wrestling tournament.

BEMIDJI — Seven members of the Brainerd Warriors will be competing for a section championship after the opening rounds of the Section 8-3A individual tournament Wednesday, March 17.

Easton Dircks and Isaiah Jillson each went undefeated after the first day with Dircks gaining a win by decision and Jillson winning his first match by decision and winning his second match in sudden victory.

Cade Ostrowski, Isaiah Germann, Kyle Eschenbacher, Gabe Wagner and Gus Wagner all finished 2-1 to advance through to the second day of competition.

Little Falls’ Gabe Nagel and Austin Litke each finished 2-0 to advance to the section finals/state preliminary rounds.

Kobi Cameron, Beau Robinson, Ryan Kloecki, Nathaniel Kludt and Eli Van Risseghem all finished 2-1 and will also advance.
