Petite Heat, Junior Heat and the Force captured championships in Thursday's Midsummer Slam sponsored by the Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department.
Petite Slam
Heat 24, Force 7
The Petite Heat, which included the Lightning, Wildcats and Raptors, beat the Force, which included the Lynx, Breeze and Slammers, 24-7. Heat MVP Natalie Matich singled, ripped two doubles and drove in three runs. Force MVP Elizabeth Joque recorded three singles. Sophia Menk doubled and drove in a run for the Force. Ella Anderson, Ella Chaussee, Avrie George, Vanessa Ostrowski and Emma Burnard all hit four singles for the Heat which was coached by John Chaussee. The Force was coached by Nicole Fanjoy.
Junior Slam

Heat 14, Force 11
The Junior Heat, which included the Nighthawks, Strikers, Thunder and Aces, defeated the Force, which included the Coyotes, Loons, Mustangs and Aces 14-11. MVP for the Heat Maddie Clemmer singled, tripled and collected four RBIs. Force MVP Sophia Laube homered. It was Laube's second MVP award in the Midsummer Slam. Ziggy Herron had two singles and an RBI for the Heat. Sara Schiller, Karlie Anderson, Sydnee Johnson all doubled for the Force. Ashley Marichalar doubled for the Heat who were coached by Kevin Yeager. Force coach was Dana Schiller.
Senior Slam
Force 14, Heat 2
The Force, which included the Twisters, Caribou and Firesticks, beat the Senior Heat, which included the Road Runners, Muskies and Firesticks, 14-2. Sam Larson received MVP honors for the Force with two singles and two RBIs. Sidnee DeRosier was the Heat MVP with two singles and solid pitching. The Heat's Teagan Maloney doubled and Anna Vreeland collected two singles. The Force's Autumn Hedges doubled and drove in two runs and Maycie Berg singled and had two RBIs. The Force was coached by Tony DeRosier and the Senior Heat by Jason Franzen.
