A fast-pitch softball pitching clinic is scheduled Jan. 20 at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.
The clinic is run by Jim Berbee of the Minnetonka Softball Association and the 18U Minnesota A's Club Softball Team. Berbee has many years of experience as a pitching coach of many of Minnesota's top high school and college pitchers. He worked with Brainerd High School graduate and former Minnesota Gopher pitcher Nikki Anderson and with current Gopher pitcher Carlie Brandt.
The clinic will start at 1 p.m. for coaches and parents to learn the basics for helping their daughter pitch the correct way.
At 2 p.m., the clinic will work with 12-year-olds and younger and run until 3 p.m. At 3:15 p.m., a clinic for 13-year-olds and older will run until 4:15 p.m.
