SARTELL-Lexi Roby homered and doubled to lead the Brainerd Warriors at bat in a 6-4 Central Lakes Conference victory over the Sartell Sabres Tuesday.
Maddie Ellingson and Elaina Christiansen also each had two hits for the Warriors who won their third straight game.
"We hit the ball really hard again tonight," Warriors coach Shane Jordan said. "The girls have really bought into our hitting philosophy, and it is paying off with some really hard-hit balls. Lexi had a line-drive home run, and several others had hard line-drive hits. Unfortunately, some of those balls were hit right to people.
"Despite the line-drive outs, we pitched well, and played good enough defense to get the win. Big conference game this Friday (vs. St. Cloud Tech) and then our home tourney this Saturday."
Maren Hadrits got the win. In seven innings, she allowed four earned runs and 10 hits with five strikeouts and three walks.
