COLLEGEVILLE-Four hits for extra bases and a single in the bottom of the sixth capped a Brainerd comeback as the Warriors kept their record unblemished with a 5-4 non-conference win over the Coon Rapids Cardinals Monday, April 29.

After the Cards took a 4-1 lead in the top of the sixth, Jordyn Sullivan led off the bottom of the stanza with a double followed by a Chloe Munsch single and back-to-back doubles from Olivia Tautges and Jenna Meyer to tie the score.

An Emma Tautges triple to right drove in Meyer with the winning run.

Emma Tautges pitched the win. She struck out eight and didn't walk a batter. She allowed four earned runs on nine hits. Abby Pelowski allowed one hit and walked one in a scoreless seventh.

"I was really proud of the team today," said Brainerd head coach Shane Jordan. "They could have easily given up when we were down 4-1 going into the bottom of the sixth but they didn't. The comeback win today shows me how mentally tough our team can be. A total team win today"
