Softball: Warriors sweep Alex for share of CLC title

Emma Tautges tallied four hits total and struck out four batters in Game Two of Brainerd’s doubleheader sweep of Alexandria 8-1 and 13-0 Tuesday, May 18.

Olivia Tautges earned the win in Game One and struck out seven. She also went 2-4 with a home run and finished with two RBIs.

Karlie Anderson ripped a Game One double and Mya Tautges struck out four in relief of Olivia Tautges in a 8-1 Warriors’ win.

In Game Two, the Warriors tallied 15 hits total in the 13-0 blowout of the Cards.

Josie Kappes, Mya Tautges, Olivia Tautges, Emma Tautges and Kasia Kroll all tallied multiple hits in Game Two.


Kroll and Emma Tautges each recorded three hits. Anderson added another double and Olivia Tautges got two more RBIs with a double. Emma Tautges ripped a double and a triple in Game Two.

Kroll also had three stolen bases in Game Two and Kappes tallied two. Kappes also scored three runs in Game Two and five runs total.

The sweep clinched a share of the Central Lakes Conference title for Brainerd.
