Softball: Warriors sweep spuds

Bailey O’Hotto was a busy batter Friday.

The senior outfielder totaled six hits, five runs, seven RBIs and three stolen bases leading the Brainerd Warriors to a 12-2 and 22-5 non-conference sweep of Moorhead in Brainerd.

O’Hotto went 3-for-4 with two runs, three stolen bases and four RBIs in the Game One victory. Sara Dick went 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Kelsey Boyd struck out five and walked two in four innings of work for the win.

O’Hotto finished 3-3 with three runs and two RBIs in the Game Two win.

Maria West went 2-4 with four runs scored. Sara Wennerstrand finished 3-4 with two triples, three runs scored and three RBIs. Faith Kassulker hit a triple, Madison Veith a double and Mikinze Boeder went 2-3 with a double and two runs scored.
