College Softball: No-hit pitching, hot bat for Mammenga in CLC sweep

INTERNATIONAL FALLS—Kali Mammenga pitched a five-inning no-hitter, and knocked out four hits as the Central Lakes College Raiders swept a doubleheader against River Falls in Northern Division action Friday, April 19.

The Raiders scored 13 runs, collecting 11 hits in a 13-4 win in Game One. Kallie Plantenberg pitched five innings to get the win and improve to 4-4.

Cassidy Zontelli, Haley Youngbauer, Mammenga, and Brianna Meyer all had two hits and Mammenga led the team in RBI with three, while also homering in the game.

Mammenga was the pitching and offensive star in the Game Two 5-0 win, pitching no-hit ball over five innings while striking out seven.

She also connected on her second home run of the day and finished with two hits and three RBI.

Lisa Kossan collected two hits and two RBI, and Meyer also tallied two hits in the win.
