Area Softball: Pillager doubles up Thunder

PILLAGER—Pillager's Ella Kilchesky struck out five in seven innings of work to pitch the Pillager Huskies to a 6-3 non-conference victory over the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder Saturday, May 11.

Kilchesky allowed there runs, one earned, on four hits and one walk. She helped her own cause by going 1-2 with two runs and an RBI.

Sam Bennett went 4-4 with two doubles. Jenna Woidyla was 2-3 with a double and two runs and Sam Macheel drove in two runs.

Brooklyn Rudrud drove in a run and scored and Savannah Sprau was 2-4 with a double and an RBI for the Huskies.

Aitkin competes

ST. LOUIS PARK— Brooklyn Hansen was 3-4 with three RBIs for the Aitkins Gobblers in the Benilde-St. Margaret's tournament Saturday, May 11.

The Gobblers fell 17-6 to St. Louis Park, 11-1 to Benilde-St. Margaret and 6-2 to Barnum.

Sarah Curtiss and Ally Ehnstrom were both 4-9 on the day.

Aitkin will be at Moose Lake-Willow River 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 13.
