It was the sophomore’s turn to shine in the Central Lakes College Raiders 10-2, 13-2 sweep of South Division champion Anoka-Ramsey Rams Saturday, May 15, in Brainerd.

Sophomore Haley Youngbauer set the table early and often in the Game One victory. The center fielder finished 3-4 with a double, two runs and two RBIs.

Jenna Gratz also scored twice and drove in a run as she finished 2-3 with a triple from the No. 2 position. The sophomore also pitched the victory as she struck out three and allowed just two runs on four hits and no walks.

Cassidy Zontelli was 3-3 with a run and an RBI and Sarah Kossan, the fourth sophomore that played, was 2-3 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Paige Soltis finished 2-3 with two runs and Lexy Swanson drove in two runs for CLC.

In Game Two, Youngbauer scored twice, Gratz went 2-3 with two runs and an RBI.

Zontelli drove in three runs and scored twice herself and Kossan went 2-3 with two RBIs and a run.

Addie Sanford pitched the five-inning victory. She struck out one and allowed two runs on four hits and a walk.

Sydnee Johnson went 3-3 with two RBIs and two runs and Sanford drove in two runs to help her own cause.
