STAPLES — Crosby-Ironton’s Gweneviere Rosecrans pitched seven innings, struck out 10 as the Rangers beat the Staples-Motley Cardinals 18-11 in Game One of a Mid-State Conference doubleheader Monday, May 17.

Mya Decent went 3-6 with a triple, seven RBIs and two runs for the Cardinals while Briana Miller went 4-5 with five runs scored in Game One.

Mikayla Richard pitched Game One for the Cardinals and struck out five.

The Rangers beat the Cardinals 14-4 in Game Two with Kathryn Kovatovich going 3-4 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs for the Rangers. Miller finished 3-3 with three runs scored and Mackenzie Weber went 3-4 with three RBIs.

Staples-Motley’s Mandy Carter drove in two runs while Alli Olander scored twice.
