PINE RIVER — Crosby-Ironton’s Gweneviere Rosecrans struck out 11 as the Rangers beat the Pine River-Backus Tigers 20-14 Tuesday, May 25, in a non-conference game.

Briana Miller went 2-3 with five runs for the Rangers while Mya Decent went 2-4 with three RBIs, three runs and a double. Josie Schaefer hit a triple, walked three times, scored twice and drove in two runs. Brooke Johnson was 2-5 with three runs and two RBIs.

Pine River-Backus’ Ramsey Tulenchik and Rylee Norman each had two hits for the Tigers. Danielle Burgoyne scored three runs.

SAUK CENTRE — Pierz’s Kiara Olesch smashed two home runs for the Pioneers as they bested the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters 14-1 in five innings to claim their 10th straight win Tuesday, May 25.

Emily Dehler, Halle Zupan and Kelsie Cummings also recorded home runs for the Pioneers while Emily Sadlovsky struck out five in the non-conference win.

WDC splits

WADENA — Wadena-Deer Creek’s Jenna Dykhoff went 3-4 with a home run for the Wolverines in an 11-8 Game Two victory over Sebeka during a Park Region Conference split with the Trojans Tuesday, May 25.

In Game One, the Wolverines fell 24-3 with Montana Carsten, Mercedes Schulz and Katelyn Gardner all earning hits. Gardner’s was a home run.

In Game Two, Nevada Schultz and Mercedes Schultz each posted two hits. Mercedes Schultz hit two doubles, scored twice and drove in a run. Nevada Schultz drove in two runs and scored twice and Garnder drove in two runs.
