DETROIT LAKES — Aitkin’s Ally Ehnstrom blasted a grand slam and tallied six RBIs for the Gobblers as they beat the Detroit Lakes Lakers 24-2 in Game One of a doubleheader Thursday, May 27.

In Game Two the Gobblers defeated the Lakers 15-9 with Camille Parenteau belting two home runs, Ehnstrom another one home run and 5 RBIs, Camryn Leiviska one home run and Camille Parenteau four RBIs.

CROSBY — Crosby-Ironton’s Tabby Foster and Mackenzie Weber each went 2-3 for the Rangers as they beat Carlton 3-2 Thursday, May 27.

Gweneviere Rosecrans pitched seven innings and struck out 12.

Pequot Lakes 12, PRB 0

PEQUOT LAKES — Morgan Eckes struck out 10 and launched a three-run home run in Pequot Lakes’ 12-0 win over Pine River-Backus Thursday, May 27.

Maci Martini went 2-3 with a three-run home run and four RBIs and Maya Orvis went 2-2 with a double and three runs scored for Pequot. Kaitlin Geschwell also ripped a home run for the Patriots.

Danielle Burgoyne knocked the lone hit for PRB and it was a double.

The win was Pequot Lakes head coach Bert Sergent’s 350th win.

Wadena-Deer Creek splits

WADENA — Wadena-Deer Creek’s Mercedes Schulz finished 2-4 with two runs and an RBI for the Wolverines as they won 7-4 over Ottertail Central in Game Two of a doubleheader Thursday, May 27.

The Wolverines fell 12-3 in Game One to Park Rapids with Schulz going 3-3 with a run and an RBI.
